Luke 24:1-12
Subject
He is Risen!
He is Risen!
Description
Luke 24:1-12 describes the resurrection of Jesus and its theological significance. The women who went to the tomb to anoint Jesus' body found the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. Two angels appeared to them and told them that Jesus had risen from the dead. The women ran to tell the disciples, who initially considered their words nothing more than an idle tale. The resurrection of Jesus is God's judgment against the darkness of the world. The occurrence has theological significance; Jesus rose from the dead once, and the repercussions of his resurrection will last for eternity-both for Jesus and for us.
