Luke 18:1-9 is a parable about the importance of persistent prayer, which encourages believers to pray consistently and not lose heart. Jesus tells the story of a widow who repeatedly pesters an unjust judge until he finally grants her justice out of annoyance. The point is that if an unrighteous man will respond to persistent requests, a loving and righteous God will certainly answer the prayers of His chosen people who cry out to Him day and night.
